With
Super as the dam and Bruno as the sire, we knew the "superior" offspring would exemplify the Bruno Mars song lyrics,
"amazing, just the way you are," and Envy says she agrees!
Envy practiced in a 4-6 month puppy competition under Judge Pamela Wilson in Belton, Texas, on October
20, 2018, and made her debut in the regular classes in Dallas in December 2018 at the Lone Star State Classic cluster, where
she captured Reserve Winners Bitch (entry of 11) from the 6-9 puppy class on December 9 under Judge Dr. H. Scott Kellogg at
the Greater Collin Kennel Club. At her second weekend out, on February 24, 2019, Envy took a four-point major from the Bred-by
class, going Winners Bitch and then Best Opposite over the bitch special under Judge Melinda L. Lyon at the San Jacinto Kennel
Club show in La Porte, Texas. At the Brazos Valley Kennel Club shows on March 16 and 17, 2019, Envy won the Bred-by class
and a reserve major on Saturday under Judge Harold Tatro III, then went on to capture Winners Bitch/Best of Winners/Best of
Breed over specials from the 9-12 puppy class for a five-point major on Sunday under Judge Donna Conard. Envy picked up another
major (three-point) going Reserve Winners Bitch at the WHWTCA National Roving Specialty under Judge Lydia Coleman Hutchinson
on June 1, 2019, in Gray Summit, Missouri (and was Reserve Winners from the large Bred-by class every day of the Roving weekend),
leaving her three points shy of her Champion title a week prior to her first birthday. At thirteen months of age, Envy was
shown by Paula in the Bred-by class at the Houston World Series of Dog Shows cluster where she was Reserve at Thursday's Houston
Kennel Club show, then honored with Winners Bitch/Best of Winners and a five-point major for her Champion title at Friday's
Houston Kennel Club show under Breeder Judge Patricia Anne Keenan (pictured above), followed by Best Opposite wins the last
two days. Envy's next show was in Dallas in December 2019 where she picked up three four-point GCH Select wins under Judges
Ken Kauffman, Dan Dowling, and Connie Clark at the Lone Star State Classic cluster of shows.
In 2020, Envy was shown by Paula at the February 28 - March 1 shows in Humble,
Texas, where Envy took Best of Breed at the Houston All-Terrier Club show on Friday under Judge Louise Leone, then back-to-back
Best Opposite awards at the Baytown Kennel Club shows under Judges Fred C. Bassett and Rodney E. Herner. Shows closed down
in March for a couple of months due to COVID-19, but Envy did not return to the riing again until October 3-4, 2020, at the
Greater Humble Area Kennel Club shows where she took Best of Breed and earned the remaining points for her Grand Champion
title on Sunday under Judge John Constantine-Amodei. As a double honor, on October 4, 2020, the West Highland White Terrier
Club of America held its annual award ceremony (virtually) where Envy was the recipient of the conformation award as top Bred-by
Exhibitor Bitch (from 2019). Despite only being in the ring a few times in 2020, Envy was among the Top 20s Westies in the
U.S.A. (breed and all-breed) under current stats for shows through August 31, 2020.
Envy may be retired from the conformation ring . . . stay tuned.
